Running Lines: Exclusive Must-Have Best Scene

running lines started as just another casual afternoon with her, both of us curled up on the couch with scripts in hand, but somewhere between the third and fourth read-through, the words stopped mattering and the space between us got electric; she’s petite, blonde, with this mischievous glint that told me she wasn’t really paying attention to the dialogue anymore, and I’m the brunette who kept losing her place because her knee kept brushing mine, then her hand found my thigh, and the script slipped from my fingers entirely; what began as a joke about method acting turned into something rougher, her fingers tangled in my hair, my breath catching as she pressed me back against the cushions, and I remember thinking this is what happens when two people stop pretending it’s just rehearsal; we moved together without any direction, no lines, no marks, just the weight of her body and the way she laughed low against my neck when I pulled her closer, and by the time we finally came up for air, the pages were scattered on the floor, totally forgotten, and neither of us could recall a single word we’d been practicing.
