So, my devar brother in law and I ended up in this situation that neither of us saw coming, and honestly, it’s still making my head spin when I think back on that afternoon—it started so innocently with him helping me fix a stubborn shelf in the spare room, and I remember the way his forearm flexed as he tightened the screw, and then we were just laughing about some dumb family drama, but the air got thick in a way I can’t really explain, and before I knew it, he was looking at me with this intense focus that made my skin prickle, and I felt this pull in my gut that I tried to brush off as nothing, but when he stepped closer, his voice dropped to this low, rough tone asking if I was okay, I nodded but my breath hitched, and he reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers grazing my cheek so lightly it sent a shiver straight down my spine, and I could smell his cologne mixed with that clean sweat scent from working, and my heart was pounding so loud I thought he could hear it, but he just smiled this slow, knowing smile and traced his thumb along my jaw, tilting my chin up, and then his mouth was on mine, soft at first but deepening fast, and I melted right into him, my hands gripping his shirt like I needed something to hold onto, and he backed me against the wall, pressing his body into mine, and I felt every inch of him, and the way his lips moved down my neck, teeth grazing that sensitive spot, made me gasp out loud, and he whispered my name against my skin, sending a jolt of heat straight to my core, and we just lost ourselves right there, the lesson being that sometimes the people you least expect know exactly how to unlock a side of you that was waiting to be found.
